About

image in black and white showing George's parents on the campaign trail - George's mom is a white woman with short, light, wavy hair, smiling widely, looking to the right, waving, wearing sunglasses and a shirt that says Sally, and she looks to be sitting down on a float in a parade. George's dad is a white man with short, thinning hair, smiling widely, looking to the right, waving, wearing an American flag bowtie, a short-sleeved, white, collared shirt and dark slacks, and he looks to be standing up on a float in a parade. The background looks to be a parade along a busy street.

Welcome to my personal website. Dedicated to my parents, family, and friends who inspired my career in civic engagement and voting and set me on this path.

My Organizations

Stories from the organizations I helped found in philanthropy and election reform.

Voting & Democracy

To be a democracy assumes having a set of principles and policies that guide how we hold elections and vote. Ideally these should be shared as a nation, not vary from state to state.

Ancestors & Family

black and white image of Ella Knowles
Photo of a green sign with the Seal of the State of New Hampshire above. The sign reads: 'John Sargent Pillsbury 1828-1901 Born in a house bordering this common, he migrated to Minneapolis in 1855. There, he, his brother George, and his nephew Charles, established the famous Pillsbury flour milling business. Three times elected Governor of Minnesota and noted benefactor of its State University, his career in industry and public service reflects great credit on his native State.' The background of the sign shows pavement, a small bit of roof, a blue sky, and a large tree full with green leaves.

This section pays tribute to the legacy of community engagement passed down by my ancestors of the 18th and 19th century in New England and Minnesota.
